This is one of several Fun Pix resulting from my experiences with
  Habitat For Humanity.

H4H INTERNATIONAL

Used Tires for Sale

There are at least two other used-tire shops within a few blocks of the one this sign advertises.  I know because this intersection is a block west of the H4H warehouse and a block north of the main office, so I drive around this area a lot.

If you hover your cursor over the image you'll see the sign on the other side of this pole.
  • First, although it's obvious what "We fix flats" means, what could "We fix used" possibly mean?

  • Second, why is the top of the D cut off? Is that where the paint ran out?

(Update of September 24, 2005: A friend, Nick, offers a different explanation.  He says, "It's quite clear to me that this sign says, 'We Fix Tires and Use You.'")

  • Third, the ampersand really isn't; it's just a random swirl.

  • Fourth, did you notice that the capital I is dotted?

In case you aren't clicking through these Fun Pix in order, see here for a similarly funny sign in the same KCMO Habitat neighborhood.
